Leigh Hendrix is a Providence, RI based theatre artist and educator. How To Be A Lesbian in 10 Days or Less is her solo performance piece and this is her blog.

I’ve been working for what seems like forever with my friend and collaborator Melissa Bowler on a show that is now called Leigh and Melissa Present: Hamlette! It’s about two women who work together during the day at a tedious accounting job and at rehearse a two lady version of Hamlet at night in the office after everyone else has gone home.
We are sharing the show in progress, with the awesome Peter Deffet directing, next week here in Providence at 95 Empire. It’s great. There is still so much left to do but it just gets more exciting to me as it gets closer. I’m proud of the way Melissa and I have learned to work together, pooling our really diverse experiences in the world of live performance and writing and storytelling to create this thing together.
There will be talking after we perform, to help the show be better, and then we are going to do a full run of the “finished” project in September.
Maybe you would like to come?

Kevin Kline’s Hamlet basically has single-tear in every monologue and somehow I don’t hate it.
